Location: Eswatini
The Central Bank of Eswatini (CBE) invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Risk Analytics and Compliance Manager.
Applicants are invited from qualified individuals with the required skill set and experience to assist the bank to attain its vision and mission.
Job purpose: To analyse inherent financial markets and operational risks to the investments and ensure capital preservation, liquidity and return objectives are met.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the bank’s financial risk and compliance strategy
- Perform domestic and international market research to stay abreast with financial market developments and trends
- Amend and improve strategic asset allocation, risk modelling and compliance management of internal processes
- Periodically review and align the investment policy with relevant legislation
- Analyse and interpret potential risks, emerging issues and recommend mitigation strategies for approval
- Plan and coordinate risk and compliance audit activities and review forecasts
- Amend existing frameworks and develop mitigation strategies for AML/CFT through collaboration with other regulators and stakeholders
- Formulate business cases and identify possible counterparties and partnerships
- Draft request for proposals to source new investment organisations and maintain relationships to support constructive, collaborative engagements
- Monitor and analyse investment performance according to pre-established benchmarks
- Plan, develop and manage annual budgets for the division and apply supplementary budgets where necessary
- Develop programmes to enhance staff development.
Qualifications and experience:
- Post Graduate Diploma in Economics, Finance or Commerce or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Commerce or equivalent
- 6–8 years experience in financial markets or investment management, 3 years of investment, risk or compliance exposure and 5 years in a supervisory role.
