The Grant Thornton Corporate Finance advisory team recently celebrated global recognition as renowned international investment publication Finance Monthly announced it had won the Project Finance Firm of the Year Award, South Africa, for 2015.
Now in its seventh year, the Finance Monthly Global Awards recognise and celebrate companies and individuals who have delivered the highest quality results within the corporate, financial and legal sectors. Winners are those companies which will have exceeded client expectations and demonstrated measurable achievements over the last 12 months.
“We’re delighted to be awarded this accolade from Finance Monthly Global Awards for 2015,” says Grant Penrose, director and head of Project and Infrastructure Finance at Grant Thornton. “Our advisory team have gone above and beyond to advise our clients on some complex projects this past year. To be acknowledged by such an internationally acclaimed awards programme bears testament to our success.”
Grant Thornton’s achievement was the culmination of nearly 4500 votes received globally which were assessed by the Finance Monthly research team. In order to determine the winners, the team reviewed and assessed key elements such as the firm’s documented activity within the last 12 months compared to industry peers, involvement in significant deals, recognised expertise, innovation in services and client care, the value of involvement within transactions and deals and all relevant supporting documentation and evidence supplied.
“The 2015 Finance Monthly Global Awards Edition serves as an historical and permanent record of our own recognition and success,” Penrose concludes.
