Dr Antonio Pooe is the Head of Forensics and has a wealth of experience in forensic investigations, fraud prevention and information security. His experience includes working with law enforcement, attorneys and corporations locally and internationally in the fight against white-collar crime.
He has over 10 years of experience in working with regulators, assisting with the acquisition of digital evidence for legal hold and the eDiscovery process on matters relating to anti-competitive conduct, market manipulation and other forms of financial crimes.
He served 2 terms on the board of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE SA), and a further 2 terms as a Training Director, on the board of the ACFE UT (USA). Additionally, he served as a vice-chairman of the ACFE Cyber Forum (SA). He is currently the Chairman of The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS) in South Africa and serves on the EDRM Global Advisory Council 2020.
He is a sought after international speaker and has delivered various presentations for the IIA, ACFE, SAICA, BOTA, CIMA and many others. He has guest lectured at various international universities, including the University of Pretoria and Brigham Young University.
Antonio is a member of The International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) Working Group 11.9 on Digital Forensics, an active international community of scientists, engineers and practitioners dedicated to advancing the state of the art of research and practice in the emerging field of digital forensics.
He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), a Certified E-Discovery Specialist), holds a Master's degree in Information Technology Management and a PhD in Information Systems, specializing in Digital Forensics.
Antonio is currently pursuing an LLB degree.
