Anoosh Rooplal

Anoosh is a Chartered Accountant with over 22 years of experience and is a licensed Senior Business Rescue Practitioner. 

He completed level 2 of the CFA program and recently obtained the INSOL Foundation Certificate in International Insolvency Law. He leads SNG Grant Thornton’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring division. 
Prior to this, he was the national leader of the Financial Services Group where he managed a team of over 160 professionals who provided audit and advisory services to banks, asset management entities, insurance entities and other financial services entities.
 
Anoosh was involved in various high-valued contentious, confidential and complex valuations. He has executed various M&A transactional advisory assignments for clients across multiple industries and countries. He was also involved in various global bond issues for South African clients. Anoosh brings a rare combination of strong corporate finance, M&A, restructuring, insolvency and audit credentials. Working with his global and African Grant Thornton counterparts, he can provide innovative and bespoke solutions for cross-border advisory assignments.
