Audit Manager / Audit Senior Manager

SNG Grant Thornton seeks to recruit talented, and results-driven individuals to join our multi-disciplinary management team and invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Audit Manager / Audit Senior Manager.

The role will require the utilisation of well-rounded skills in an energetic and fast-paced environment, whilst demanding a high degree of self-motivation and a high level of professionalism, and confidentiality. You must be a self-driven team player with well-established communication skills.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Chartered Accountant (SA) or equivalent and must have served articles with a firm with global affiliates.
• Registered (& in good standing) professional member with an accounting institute.
• A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience.
• Exposure to audits in the Financial Services Sector will be an advantage.

• Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in handling issues.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to interact with people and staff (at all levels) often under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
• Ability to coach and mentor less experienced members of the team.

The work will involve:

• Client liaison
• Planning – short and long term.
• Application of professional knowledge and management of respective teams.
• Provide specific, constructive and corrective performance feedback and objectively determine and document performance for individuals.
• Review and management of electronic working papers.
