On behalf of our client, The Youth Enterprise Revolving Fund (YERF), we invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the Finance & Administration Manager position.

Purpose: Responsible for the leadership and administration of finance, accounting, IT, and Procurement, to provide strategic financial support for the growth and sustainability of the fund.

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the finance and administration department activities to maximize quality and efficiency
  • Provide sound financial advice to the CEO and the Board of Directors
  • Make financial contributions to the implementation of the organisation’s strategy
  • Develop new business and identify additional funding opportunities
  • Consolidate, prepare, and submit annual budgets
  • Manage budgetary controls and ensure all expenditures are within budget
  •  Develop, review, and implement the organisation's policies and procedures
  •  Provide timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, and financial reports for submission to the Board, Ministry and PEU
  • Oversee the organisation's Human Resources, Payroll Processing and Administration
  • Manage the external audits and address all audit findings
  • Implement financial Board decisions and resolutions
  • Train and Develop staff members

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting)
  • MBA/MSc in Finance, ACCA/CA, and CIMA will be an added advantage
  • Five years experience in accounting, three years of which should be in a senior finance position
  • Qualification in IT will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of International Financial reporting Standards
  • Knowledge of VAT, Income and other tax matters will be an added advantage
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Integrity and confidentiality
