Head of Corporate Services

National Agricultural Marketing Board (Namboard) seeks to recruit an energetic, dynamic and strategically aligned individual to fill the Head of Corporate Services position.

The position will drive a number of strategic and operational HR initiatives. It takes on the responsibility of providing high-quality HR service, managing industrial relations, overseeing the IT function, and leading the property management service unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate Human Resource activities to maximize the strategic use of Human Resources
  • Manage the team effectively by providing appropriate leadership and guidance; ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare capital and operating estimates and controls budgets against approved budget allocations (HR and Corporate Services)
  • Managing the coordination of training and Development programs and interventions
  • Managing the implementation of the Performance Management System (PMS)
  • Development and maintenance of an HR risk register.
  • Develop project plans and establish clear goals and accountabilities.
  • Oversee the management of service levels
  • Oversee compensation programmes and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels
  • Report periodically to the CEO and relevant board sub-committee
  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of company properties and assets
  • Lead the development, maintenance and implementation of labour relations policies as required
  • Assume a lead role within the HR Department for Wellness/ Health and Safety issues
  • Oversee the management of Namboard’s IT needs, ensuring alignment of the IT strategy

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences or LLB
  • MBA / MBL / Master’s in HR Management
  • Eight years experience working in the HR division with at least (five) 5 years at management level.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body
  • Employee relations experience & training in compensation
