Dirk has been involved in the audits of government departments, public entities, municipalities and private clients. His expertise lies mainly in public sector auditing with a specific focus on the audit of pre-determined objectives, procurement and contract management and compliance.

He has been the engagement partner on various audits contracted out by the Auditor General of South Africa and is also the client liaison partner for various contracting-in assignments performed by the Auditor General of South Africa. He is also an accredited pre-issuance reviewer with Auditor General of South Africa.

Dirk has been a key member of the Eskom Holdings SOC Limited audit team for the past 7 years and has immense experience and knowledge in the procurement environment.

He has knowledge of the IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, ISA’s and GRAP accounting frameworks and PFMA and Companies Act in the compliance field
