Agnes Dire is the Chief Executive Officer of SNG Grant Thornton, a leading South African professional services firm. A chartered accountant with over 17 years’ experience, she brings strong expertise in audit, advisory and executive leadership within the financial services sector.
She previously served as Chairperson of the Board and National Leader for General Assurance, where she drove audit quality, strengthened governance and oversaw national operations.
Agnes has led complex engagements across the private and public sectors, with deep experience in financial services and advisory. She also contributes to key industry bodies, including the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
As CEO, she is focused on strengthening the firm’s market position, enhancing operational excellence and reinforcing its role as a trusted advisor.
